Animal Pharmaceutical Products

As the number of households with pets increases,

pets are increasingly becoming integral family members.

Like humans, animals can be affected by Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS) as they age. According to research from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, 28% of dogs aged 11-12 years and 68% of dogs aged 15-16 years may exhibit one or more symptoms of cognitive impairment.

The main symptoms of this syndrome are known as DISHA:

  • Disorientation: Loss of direction sense

  • Interaction changes: Changes in interactions with family or other animals

  • Sleep-wake cycle changes: Alterations in sleep patterns

  • House soiling: Accidents in housebreaking (urination, defecation)

  •  Activity level changes: Variations in activity levels

These symptoms are often associated with oxidative stress, increased levels of amyloid beta, and anatomical changes observed in MRI scans.

In response to this issue, we are currently developing a safe and reliable product based on scallop extract powder, which has the highest content of plasmalogens. This product is undergoing extensive clinical trials and is being developed in close collaboration with veterinarians.
